Adaptec’s in-house application engineering team develops customized solutions by taking a holistic approach to system design. After an initial meeting with an Adaptec Sales Engineer, the Application Engineer (AE) gains a clear understanding of the customer’s requirements and priorities. From there, the AE brings together all system elements to develop a concept designed to address the specific challenges of the facility.

With more than 225 years of combined experience, our diverse team of engineers brings specialized expertise in areas such as FANUC robotics programming, conveyor and material handling, case packaging, controls, and assembly.

Our application engineers use advanced industry tools, including 3D modeling and simulation software, to model custom solutions based on each customer’s specifications, products, and throughput goals. In addition to developing the engineered concept, Adaptec’s application engineering team works closely with customers on budgeting, system delivery timeframes, and firm proposal development.

The team also provides engineering studies as an additional service. These studies apply scientific and engineering principles to analyze, evaluate, and solve technical challenges. By proving out concepts on a smaller scale, engineering studies help minimize the risks that come with implementing larger, more complex technologies requiring significant investment.
