Robot Auto Doors for CNC Machines

We offer a variety of custom robot auto doors for CNC machines. Door configurations include: top mounted, side mounted and front door mounted. Auto doors save valuable time when robotically tending any CNC machine tool.

How Does It Work?

The Robot Auto Door for CNC Machines mounts directly to either the front door of a lathe or on the side/end panel of a mill. Each robot auto door is custom engineered to fit the machine it is being applied to. On a lathe application, the existing glass is removed from the lathe door and is remounted within the new robot auto door.

Interior sheet metal is also modified and mounting holes are installed for attachment of the robot auto door. On a mill, the end panel is either modified or a new end panel is fabricated for mounting of the robot auto door.

Front door mounted Auto Door (Note machine front door lying on its side for Auto Door installation). The Auto Door features: pneumatic door cylinder, heavy duty shock absorbers for open/close motions, precision guidance, open/close sensors, door closed safety switch and connection cables. Modification of the machine door is required when mounting to the front machine door and includes reuse of the door glass (re- installed in the Auto Door).
Top mounted Auto Door. The Auto Door features: pneumatic door cylinder, heavy duty shock absorbers for open/close motions, precision guidance, open/close sensors, door closed safety switch and connection cables. Modification of the machine enclosure is required when insatalling a top mounted Auto Door.
