When Experience and Passion are Brought to the Table

Greg Light, Adaptec’s Environmental Health and Safety Manager, brings over 20 years of experience across a variety of industries, including toxicology, pharmaceuticals, crane manufacturing, and utilities. His wide-ranging expertise has helped elevate Adaptec’s safety culture and ensure our people are supported both on and off the floor.

“When I think about Adaptec and the work that we do, our business is to help people work better and work safer,” Greg shares. “The solutions we provide are designed to reduce physical strain, improve efficiency, and ultimately help workers be more productive throughout the day. When you’re equipped with the right tools, the grind and toll of lifting and moving heavy materials doesn’t exist anymore. That’s what initially drew me to Adaptec—the safety advantages built right into the solutions we offer.”

Greg plays a key role in shaping and maintaining Adaptec’s safety-first mindset. A major part of his work is consistent, hands-on communication with employees, especially those in high-risk roles like our field service technicians. By connecting daily with these teams, Greg ensures that safety risks and hazards are addressed proactively and that each person understands what’s needed to perform their job safely.

“Our commitment to safety means being present, listening, and reinforcing best practices,” Greg says. “It’s about meeting people where they are and making sure they feel equipped and empowered to do the right thing.”
